Give

Give the work time and space to grow

Help Glory in the Beat move from “when we can” to consistent ministry.

Monthly support creates dedicated time for outreach, radio, content, follow‑up, partnerships, and ministry planning, while helping us work toward a space of our own for recording, meetings, equipment, and guests.

Our immediate goal is to fund a full‑time ministry role. As support grows, our next goal is a dedicated home for Glory in the Beat.

In the community

For the past few years, Glory in the Beat has operated on a “fit the work in when we can” basis. Even with limited time, we’ve seen God move through the radio station, events, outreach, and conversations that happen along the way. I’m grateful for all of it. I also believe it’s time to give this work the consistent attention it needs.

Glory in the Beat uses Christian hip-hop, conversation, and community outreach to meet people where they are and point them toward Jesus. There’s more we can do if this becomes my full-time work: strengthen the station, build relationships with local partners, create more opportunities to reach people, and follow up with them after an event ends.

To make that possible, we’re raising support for a full-time paid role for me, Geo Preston, as Glory in the Beat’s founder and president. Under the oversight of our board, that support would allow me to dedicate my working hours to this mission while providing for my family. Your gifts go to Glory in the Beat and help sustain the ministry’s work.

Time and space

From “when we can” to consistent ministry

Glory in the Beat is already reaching people across Akron through music, outreach, radio, prayer, events, and relationships.

Right now, the work is built around the time and space we have available. Monthly Pursuit Partners help change that.

Our immediate goal

Time

Right now, Glory in the Beat has to fit around other work and responsibilities. Monthly support helps fund dedicated ministry time so outreach, relationships, content, follow‑up, planning, and partnerships can receive consistent attention.

Our next goal

Space

Right now, recording happens in our bedroom, equipment is stored in our basement, and meetings and ministry materials share our living room. A dedicated space would eventually give Glory in the Beat room for podcast guests, live radio hosts, board meetings, grant visits, equipment storage, volunteer training, and ministry preparation.

Your support helps create:

  • Dedicated time for full‑time ministry
  • Consistent community outreach and follow‑up
  • Regular radio and original content
  • Stronger church and community partnerships
  • Better preparation for events and outreach
  • A path toward dedicated studio, meeting, and storage space

The goal is simple: give this work the time and space it needs to grow.

Monthly support is what we need most. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a monthly partner at whatever amount you’re able to give? A dependable base of monthly supporters would help us plan ahead and keep showing up. If a monthly gift isn’t right for you, a one-time gift helps too.

And if you can’t give financially right now, I’m still grateful you’re here. Please pray for us and share the mission with someone who might want to be part of it. We’ve seen what God can do with the time we’ve had. I’m ready to see what He does when we can give this work our full attention.

Questions

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Glory in the Beat is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Zeffy emails you a tax receipt as soon as you give.

Where does my gift go?

To Glory in the Beat, under the oversight of our board. The first priority is time: we’re raising enough monthly support for our founder, Geo Preston, to work on Glory in the Beat full‑time instead of fitting the ministry around another job. After that, one of our biggest needs is space. Right now our bedroom is the studio, our basement holds the sound equipment, and our living room is our meeting and project space. Eventually we need somewhere to record with guests, have live radio hosts, meet with partners and our board, host grant visits, store equipment, and run the ministry from one place.

Can I change or cancel a monthly gift?

Yes, anytime. Contact us and we’ll change or stop it for you.

What’s the tip at checkout?

Zeffy, the platform that processes our donations, doesn’t charge us fees. Instead, it suggests an optional tip for itself at checkout. That tip goes to Zeffy, not to Glory in the Beat, and it’s entirely up to you: choose “Other” to change it or set it to $0. Your gift to us is the same either way.

Are there other ways to give?

Yes. To give by check, through a donor-advised fund, or as a church or business, contact us and we’ll help. The form takes card gifts of up to $5,000; for a larger gift, contact us too.

I can’t give right now. How else can I help?

Pray for us, and share the campaign with someone who might want to be part of it.
